Staircases and
balustrades in
Burgess Hill.
Truegrain Carpentry offers staircases and balustrades in Burgess Hill and across Mid Sussex. Contact Tom Hale with photographs of your stairs and an outline of the changes you have in mind.
Which part of the stairs
do you want to change?
A photograph of the whole staircase gives context. Close-ups of the individual details help Tom understand the work you are considering.
Handrail and newel posts
Show the handrail and the posts at the top and bottom. Explain the look you have in mind and any details you want to keep.
Spindles and balustrade
Photograph the flight and landing together. Mark the sections you want to discuss rather than only sending a close-up.
The wider staircase
If your enquiry is about more than the balustrade, include the whole stair flight, landing and surrounding space. Ask Tom to confirm the scope.

Before you enquire
Which photographs should I send?
Send the whole staircase from the bottom and from the top, then close-ups of the handrail, the spindles and the newel posts. Add one of the surrounding walls if they are part of the change.
Can I enquire about just the balustrade?
Yes. You can ask about the handrail and spindles alone, or the whole staircase. Say which parts you want to change and which you want to keep.
Do I need to measure the stairs first?
No. Photographs and a rough idea of the height and number of steps are enough to start. Tom can take proper measurements later.
How do I request a quote?
Send your photographs and notes by email, or call Tom to talk it through. Once the scope is clear, ask for a quote for the agreed work.
Tell Tom what you have in mind.
Send photographs, rough dimensions and your postcode to start the conversation.
